Meet Your Panel Professionals

 

Crista Hermance was born and raised in Ventura and lived there a majority of her life. Crista is an attorney and founder of Hermance Law. Crista helps clients with their estate planning and ensuring that families know how to protect their family. She enjoys helping families create a specific estate plan to fit their unique needs and providing clients with the peace-of-mind knowing they have a plan in place. Family dynamics are always evolving and she built this practice with growing families in mind.  It is important that the Hermance Law team are able to help their clients not only with their estate planning needs but also if one of their family members passes away.

Marty Stevens-Heebner, CEO of Clear Home Solutions, is a pioneer in Senior Move Management. Inspired by her experiences with her aging father and aunt, she leads a team that helps seniors with moving, downsizing, and organizing. She’s also the President of National Association of Senior and Specialty Move Managers and hosts a podcast called “How to Move Your Mom.” Marty is launching “Later Life Living,” an online resource connecting older adults and their families with trusted professionals for their later years.

Phil Chandler is the Owner of Right at Home of Ventura County, a licensed Home Care Agency that has provided in-home care and assistance for adults throughout Ventura County for over 10 years. Chandler is a strong advocate for support groups and has many years’ experience facilitating Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease support groups. Prior to Right at Home, he worked in engineering management positions in the Defense and Aerospace industries. He lives in Westlake Village with his wife Linda and has four grown daughters and one grandchild.

EVE HILL:  REALTOR®, Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, Co-Founder of Customized Aging. We help older adults and their loved ones think through what they need (in their current home or their next one) to Age in Place safely and comfortably in a way that reflects who they are, not just how old they are. Offering home assessments, longevity lifestyle products, Aging in Place education and Real Estate services. 

 My previous experience includes writing for network television, managing community outreach for public schools, and administrative duties for a small nonprofit committed to helping elderly Holocaust survivors live their final years with dignity.

Jennifer Brammer, serves as a Senior Victim Advocate within the Crime Victims’ Assistance unit of the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, specializing in cases involving Crimes against Elders and Adults with disabilities.

Dedicated to her mission, Jennifer collaborates extensively with various organizations & agencies working diligently to raise public awareness about the exploitation and fraud targeting senior citizens and vulnerable adults with disabilities.

Jennifer’s unwavering commitment lies in empowering victims to transition into not just survivors but thriving individuals.

 

Dawn McFarland is the Founder and President of M & M Benefit Solutions Insurance Services.  She has found a passion as an independent agent who helps individuals, especially Medicare eligible, navigate choosing how they receive their health care.  Dawn volunteers as a community educator for the Alzheimer’s Association and currently serves as the VP of Professional development after a 3 year term as VP of Legislation for the State of CA Agents and Health Insurance Professionals (CAHIP), a role in which she earned the National Association of Benefits Insurance Professionals (NABIP) coveted State Legislative Achievement Award.  She also serves on the Medicare Advisory Council for NABIP, and Chair for the NABIP Leadership & Development Committee.
